INSPIRATION
Moon Sanctuary is, in a way, a collection of memories spanning my childhood in Russia to my move to the U.S. in 2011. My time spent creating my own unique and colorful world using paints, wood, paper - really anything I could get my hands on to make my space more beautiful and expand my imagination.
As these same childhood adventures in artistic expression grew and evolved, my curiosity led me to deep dive into astrology - and more importantly, to my connection with the Moon. Glowing, powerful, and magnetic, it’s influence on us as spiritual bodies began to inform my art and guide what would be the path I find myself walking today.

As an intuitive, transforming feelings into things comes naturally to me, and so, Moon Sanctuary was born. An idea of infusing natural elements with the same magic and inspiration I’ve felt during my travels and astral exploration - a connectedness one can only find when engaging your senses with the people, places, and things that make each of our interactions unique.

Moon Sanctuary is the dream that's been sprouting inside me for years, a manifestation of the joining of art and astrology, a connection with the sky above, earth below, and tranquility within. My hope is that with each piece, you are inspired to find the stillness and beauty in your space, and feel guided and supported on your own harmonious path.
CREATIVE PROCESS
At Moon Sanctuary, each phase of the process, like the phases of the Moon, begins and ends with intention. From a blank canvas of materials (like the New Moon signifying new beginnings), to the finished tapestry (akin to the Full Moon embodying transformation and completion), Moon Sanctuary treats every cycle with care and precision.
The journey begins by sanding and staining hardwood panels, measuring and cutting fibers, adhering hundreds of strands of wool for each piece, all in preparation for the upcoming dye bath. It is an extensive process that I find very rewarding once a piece is completed.
With my dip-dyed fibre art, each piece is one-of-a-kind. Due to the nature of the fibres and dye, each wall hanging is unique and cannot be exactly replicated - making the process at times unpredictable but incredibly rewarding.
A pillar of Moon Sanctuary is the use of earth friendly, mindfully sourced materials. I try to limit my use of plastic and other waste as much as possible in the process and final creation. All pieces are created using non-toxic dyes which are safe for the planet and your health.
GIVING BACK
It is this spiritual journey that led me to starting Moon Sanctuary and creating inspiring pieces for the spaces and places you love the most. To express my gratitude for this chapter of life and to continue to promote creativity in others, I will be donating 5% of the profits to emerging women artists and women rights activist groups.
